Volunteer Opportunities at the Kennedy Center in Trumbull
The Kennedy Center is one of the most comprehensive rehabilitation facilities in the State of Connecticut, and currently supports 2,400 individuals with disabilities, with vocational, residential, educational, therapeutic, social and recreational programs and services. The Kennedy Center creates a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.
Volunteer involvement is an important component of The Kennedy Center. Our agency was founded through the efforts of loyal, hardworking, dedicated volunteers. We have several opportunities that I feel would be a perfect fit for our states retired teachers. For example we are currently looking for former art and music teachers, or those interested in the arts, that would be working closely with our Expressive Arts Therapists. In addition we are beginning a brand new STEM program for a group of young adults that are on the Autism Spectrum. We are looking for experienced teachers to help make this program a reality.
