Although teachers plan for their financial needs in retirement, planning for emotional and psychological needs is often deferred. For so many, being a teacher is their identity. What happens when you lose that part of who you are? Randy Burnham, author of My Next Phase, will kick off the program with some guiding questions and a framework to help you think about who you are now and what you might want to do in retirement. In a series of 5-minute presentations, retired teachers will tell their stories of creating new lives beyond the classrooms – feeding elephants, writing novels, directing plays, running businesses. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
